Saturday 3/1/15 – To day is transfer day, from Zurich to our first ski resort of Davos. and the Europe ski holiday now begins in earnest.
Helen – in a desperate search for a mandarin for breakfast, could not find any left at the buffet breakfast bar, so she ratted through the left over breakfast stuff from another table to get her mandarin.
Everybody was ready and eager to get going. The bus arrived on time and loaded very quickly and off we went with an air of anticipation. However, we had to extract the hotel room key from Amanda as she forgot to return it when checking out. The Eurobus chartered coach was extremely comfortable, leather seats and a lounge at the back with self services drinks, coffee and snacks. The countryside was white as a result of the recent snowfalls, so looking good for skiing.
Arrived at Davos at about midday and checked into our rooms – all were just about ready for us, so the group meandered off to town for exploration and lunch. As it happened, the group all ended up at the same restaurant for lunch – only been together for a day and were starting to gel as a group and enjoy each others company.
After lunch, some picked up pre booked hire skis from Intersport, others continued to explore the town, or get their act together for the first day skiing tomorrow. The group ski passes were already at the hotel , so Allan distributed them at dinner – so all set to go.
Dinner time and no Ning – she fell asleep and almost missed dinner until Allan’s wake up call got her back downstairs.
The thong was awarded to Helen for her breakfast antics, with close calls to Amanda and Ning
